What’s the secret to weight loss!?!?
One question I get asked A LOT is, “what’s the secret to losing weight!?!?”
Well…I’m about to tell you. Are you ready for it…!?!?
THERE IS NO SECRET!!!
Now, don’t stop reading and let me elaborate a little on this.
If you are someone looking to lose weight, whether its 5 pounds or 150 pounds, then I’m sure you wish there was a “quick fix”. Some magical thing that will allow you to take the weight off without having to put forth any (or at least much) effort. Something that within a few days/weeks/or months you will be looking fabulous without having to change the way you eat, without having to spend time in the gym, and without having to stop going to events and parties.
Well, the reality is there are prescription pills and things like that you can take. But I can also tell you from PERSONAL experience that those pills are NOT healthy for you. I can also tell you from personal experience that all those pills do is curb your appetite. They are not something you can take long term, NEWS FLASH – you can’t take them for more than a few months at a time. I can also promise you that in most people the weight will come right back on as soon as you stop taking those pills.
Now, you may wonder WHY the weight will come back on and the same answer to that question is the same answer to the first question of “what’s the secret to weight loss!?”.
LIFESTYLE….changing your lifestyle is the secret to weight loss! In order to see change in any area of your life, then you have to change what you do every single day.
That’s what I am here for! I have walked the walk of weight loss and now I want to teach people how to walk that journey too!
In fact, my program teaches you portion control and moderation. I personally don’t believe anything has to be off limits (unless medically necessary) and I believe in teaching people that we can have the things we love and enjoy from time to time as long as we practice portion control and moderation.
You get a cute journal to write your food in and every week we check in – I look at your journal, we talk about your successes and struggles from the past week, and we set goals for the upcoming week.
I’m there by your side the entire time! Day or night, evenings or weekends, I’m there to answer questions. I’m there to talk you off the ledge or help you plan your day around any upcoming events. At the end of the day, we must make this a lifestyle!
I also give you TONS of recipes! All my recipes are family friendly, super easy, and use common ingredients that you will continue to use again and again. All the recipes are broken down into the system I use so you know exactly how much to eat at each meal! Seriously, I try to take all the guess work out of it for you!
My goal by the time you are done working with me is that you feel confident enough to go out on your own and continue to live this lifestyle.
One final thing that we work on, which is probably the most important thing, is the emotional side of things! I truly believe that 90% of the struggles you will face when it comes to weight loss are mental struggles. Especially for us women, we tie all of our emotions to food – good, bad, happy, sad, angry, you name it – we use it as a reason to eat! Plus, we LOVE our carbs!! Ladies, am I right or am I right?!?!
So, if you are someone who has been wondering what the secret to weight loss is, then I hope this post shows you that there really is no secret. It’s a lifestyle change. It has to be! Otherwise, you may lose the weight but once you hit your goal it will more than likely come back on because you never actually changed your lifestyle and how you see and respond to food!
